Bird pedal assist is made of plastic and the internal spinner parts break easily, it should probably be made of more durable material such as aluminum or 3D printed carbon fiber. I mistakenly bought this replacement part when bird ebike pedal assist stopped, but the connector is .5 mm to large and slightly darker orange than the smaller yellow bird connector. I learned that the magnetic inner spinner of the original equipment had loosened from the hall shaft, and was able to reattach the spinner snugly to the shaft by wrapping two layers of black electrical tape around the shaft after removing the pedal crank with an 8mm hex wrench and Oumers brand crank removal tool. Long story short, the bird oem part still worked but needed another layer of tape to grip ahold of the shaft after loosening up, but it can't be opened to fix without the right tools. So this aftermarket part is slightly (.1-.5mm) oversized and not the correct part for bird ebike, but I wouldn't have figured out how the inner spinner works and how to fix the oem part.
