The threads were a touch burred but the item welded up nice and seems to be working for what I wanted it for. It is important in high boost applications that your bov or recirculator does not become a missile....which it can since there is so much pressure behind it. Think about what would happen if it blew through your hood at speed (might be carried into your windshield) or just rattled off inside your engine bay. It could be pretty destructive. Having a weld on or bolt on bung is much more secure than hose clamps.
