I'm also not sure why everyone is complaining. I put 3/4 of these pins in my Swiss Army Knife's & they all fit very well so I can comfortably say it wasn't a one off experience with 1 pin & 1 knife. I even tried other pins in virtually every other SAK I own & still had zero problems. Maybe the company started making better pins or some users got duds? Judging by the packaging, it's not officially from Victorinox. There's no logo to indicate it either like in the picture shown.

You get like five pins in a plastic bag. They are stainless steel and are idea for removing splinters and thorns. I own four Huntsman and five other Victorians knives and added this and other tool additions to all of them. The nice little fire starting stone, replaces the toothpick…which you WILL MISS. The tiny screwdriver is indispensable if you wear glasses. The double sided file is indispensable if you are a Huntsman owner.

Pins were received in a little plastic bag with no protection for the points; Pins are of the correct length and appear to be stainless steel, however, they have a much smaller head than the original Victorinox straight pin, and are practically non-magnetic.So, one of the lifesaving utilities of these pins (as taught to us in Felix Immler's YouTube videos) is to magnetize the pin and float it in water (or on a leaf floating in water) to use as a makeshift compass. This you cannot do with these pins. Overall, am disappointed with these pins and they are definitely the wrong item at this high price.

While some might use a common straight-pin for a replacement for a lost or bent pin for their knife, these pins are the REAL thing (a bit longer, made of stainless steel, slightly thicker on the shaft and a fair amount stiffer than the normal straight pin. ) They are great for helping remove splinters and such, and with the high-end quality of the knife that they are used in isn't it better to have REAL parts, anyway?? Four spare pins should last a VERY long time for most users.

These pins are not Victorinox pins. I don’t even know how they’re allowed to advertise the product using Victorinox name and description for these. It’s not a big loss for me but IT IS THE WORS THING I BOUGHT FROM AMAZON EVER!!!

to be honest the price is far to high for only 4 pins ...They serve there purpose and work well for many things like cleaning out spray can nozzles imagination is the limit really ..the trick is remembering you have it!

The picture makes it look like this thing has some sort of rib around it or something. It looks way sturdier than it is. All of that is incorrect. It's just a straight pin. Buy a bunch of them at your local store and save time and money.

It's 4 pins, what more can you say. Probably could have used any pin in there but since I knew these were stainless I went for them
