Can't complain for the price, but don't hang them low enough where someone can get a close look at them because they're obviously inexpensive (i.e., cheap) construction. They look the part very well however, and hung in an appropriate area at a nice height, they'll work fine as a deterrent.The range of movement for pointing them is much more limited than would appear. Only the "camera" body section moves, the middle section is fastened in place based on the mounting ring orientation. I had to take the screws out and the mount off a few times for each to actually point them the way I wanted them to point, which was very annoying.Don't bother putting batteries in them. Most of the similar genuine CCTV sets that feature cameras in this style don't have an LED in the camera anyway.

These are well-made and realistic dummy cameras. I was able to mount one in just a few minutes. I suggest that they might NOT be a good solution for a place where a person can just reach up and grasp them. They can be dismounted from the screws easily (simply by twisting the entire unit), and it would be obvious to anyone that they are fake when they are dismounted. They ARE a good solution in places where a person cannot easily reach and grasp them - they look very real. I did not put batteries in and activate the red light since real cameras do not usually have lights. Good value for the money if they can be placed out of the normal reach of potential intruders.

Excellent! I don't intend to use the batteries for the flashing light, because real cameras don't use a flashing light! The IR LED's look very realistic, and the plastic housing is durable, and looks convincing as well. Also, some people have mentioned that the "Videosecu" logo is on it, which gives away that it's a fake, but there's no lettering on it at all. You would not be able to tell these apart from the real ones of the same style. I installed all 4 within minutes. I have 4 in use, and my neighbors all think I just had a complete security system installed.

They look real. They are flattened a little to fit in their shipping box and so you may want to aim the center assembly a bit when you put it up. If you put the battery in place, you can rotate the center assembly to position the blinking LED where you want. I don't want to go up a ladder periodically to change the battery so I didn't bother with the battery ! Young kids might more easily notice the flashing light and think that they are being watched but older burglars will look for cameras anyway so using the battery depends on who you are trying to fool. I bought several to use on different properties and for friends. I'd buy them again. They would make a nice gift for some people. I wonder what would happen if I put one on the back of my car. :)

i just purchased four of these, in conjunction with the five pack of fake dome cameras sold elsewhere on Amazon. They are not named correctly, as these are not true dome cameras, but a directional camera, that can be seen to be pointing in a particular direction. I own some real directional cameras, and they are very effective when used in a narrow settingi, such as pointing down a hallway or over the front door, since they stand out. Dome cameras are more effective in general situations, when you don't want people to know which way the cameras is pointing, but that is not in question when pointing down a hallway of at the front door. My security tech installed these, and he remarked that he was paying $30 each for a similar cameras. I bought 14 cameras total for around $50.

I was a little skepticle buying this item with no other feedback, but im glad i did. These cameras are the most realistic "fake" dome cameras you can buy. They are weighted perfect after the two AA batteries were added. The LED light on the front is very bright and the mounting of the cameras was a breeze. You can ceiling mount like I did on my ceiling and also flat mount vertically like i did on my garage. Also the included stickers are great to put on the doors leading into the property. I would def. order these again, all my tennants think they are real, and since videosecu is a legit company with a website and real time recording info, noone has to know they are fake.

the led is too bright and flashes too often.better just leave it on without batteries. real cameras don't have flashing red lights.plus the led drains your batteries really fast. i used lithium ion batteries and they went out within 2 weeks. don't bother changing the batteries. it's a waste of time and is a dead give away that the cameras are fake.other than what i mentioned above, these are really great. i would not recommend it because only i want to have these.
