This ignitor works on the ones that calls for 38-165 or 38-166 or 38-167 or 38-168. If you do not see these number under the burner base, the ignitor belongs not to the burner base you have on your range/cooktop.

Yahoo! This ignitor replacement worked perfectly for my older model Viking cooktop! I've been needing to light the burners manually for years. I'm so happy these ignitors are available. Viking was going to charge me $256.00 for what did ourselves!!! Yeah!!!

I think the quality is not quite there on these. They worked well for a few weeks. They ignite well but now click for a long time before stopping. I have an older igniter that is less corroded than these and it still works well.
