The detail that gets put into the design of a product is something that goes a long way with me. This particular hip armor has excellent detail going across the belt. I appreciate the medieval buckling fashion which provides comfort. And the intricate stitched together armor looks perfect and is effective at stopping small strikes to the hip.

Husband is a size 40 belt, 5’7” for reference. Fits well! Got these for the Renaissance festival since we decided to dress up this year. They are a little stiff but I’m hoping I can soften them up with some time/water/heat. Since they are faux leather I don’t want to wreck them with the wrong treatment.They are nicely put together and seem sturdy. Lots of bronze fittings. Thick panels! The belt isn’t great but will do until we can upgrade to real leather.
