Box was trashed and the finish on the lid is chipped. Without any real testing I immediately give this product 3 stars. Will update if that changes upon use.

I’m happy overall with this. Very easy to set the pin and register fingerprints. It is loud when it opens. You can turn off the beeps but with how loud if it, the beeps aren’t the problem when opening it.It will comfortably store a full size pistol and a couple of magazines and a light or a subcompact and a full size. The photo shows a p365xl with a 12 round magazine and a spare 17 round along with a CZ Shadow 2 with a spare 19 round mag. Both guns have a red dot. The p365 is the sig optic and the CZ has a HOLOSUN 507C. This will work as my bedside gun but a little more room would have been nice

I knew fingerprints deteriorate with age I just did not expect them to stop working for me at the age of 40. It varies with each person.My other biometric safe from a different brand works sporadically. Not good for an emergency.However, this touch chip sensor always worksEven when my hands are dirty. I even tested it on my 76-year-old mother in law, and it worked for her every time without fail.I feel comfortable knowing now I won’t have to replace my safe or that it won’t suddenly stop when I need it the most. I don’t have to worry if my hands are dirty if an intruder breaks in.SOME OTHER NICE THINGS ABOUT THIS SAFE:1. It shows the battery state. Very Important! I’ve opened it about 100 times just to test it, and the battery 🔋 is still full. So, batteries should last a long time.2. If you look at YouTube videos, you can learn how to open safes from popular brands like RPNB, both from the front and from the side, in a few seconds. Press the reset button or click open the latch. That easy.3. No cheap barrel key. This safe has a key I’ve never seen used in others. With similar safes, a 3-minute YouTube video, and 30 more seconds, you can have the typical barrel locked picked. Not this lock.4. Optional button opening. I don’t think I will ever need it, but it is good to have it as an option.5. Internal light. Nice touch.BUY IT. You won’t regret it.

Keys got shut in the safe as soon as it was opened. I reached out to Viking customer service and provided all of the info they requested and they shot over a spare key to recover the original keys. If the safe is half as good as the service it will be jamb up. Will do more business with them for sure.

I am a Federal Firearms License Holder and I always looking for great ways to both secure my firearms and make them available to those in my house that need in case of emergency. This safe meets my very tough requirements and goes well beyond them. it was very easy to setup and the bio metric works 100% of the time. This is great buy and will make your items safe and secure.

This safe is excellent. The fingerprint reader stores readings from multiple angles so it rarely doesn’t open, it’s reliable, easy to open and close, has a large amount of interior space and it’s simple to silence the sound effects (except opening the safe. Fortunately, I have no idea how difficult it is to steal guns from.

This safe is definitely top of the line when it comes to securing your firearms. Setup was easy and it can hold two handguns and a few extra magazines. Just a word of advice: do NOT leave items sitting on top of this safe. I had an issue where it wouldn’t open properly. I sometimes left my laundry or something else on top of it to “hide it in plain site” but it will cause the safe to not open like it should. Other than that, it’s great!
