AMAZING QUICK AUTOFOCUS
- The autofocus is so much fast and they have software updates to improve even more over time. The contrast on these lenses are beautiful and the Bokeh is just dreamy. Highlight roll-off is clean and lens flare is very minimal.
- The transitions from face to hand during our tests were smooth and confident, with focus immediately returning to eyes when the obstruction was removed. Focus breathing is also minimal, making this a nice lens for video or vlogging.
MAX. F1.4 APERTURE
With its bright maximum aperture of F1.4 photographers can combine beautiful bokeh with a uniquely wider perspective, or stop down to create sweeping scenic landscapes with stunning depth of field and detail.
APERTURE-RING
- There is an aperture ring on the lens, with 1/3rd stop detents and you can twist it fully to the left " A" if you want automatic control of the aperture within the lens.
- The other ring is the wide focus ring. It has a ribbed, metal surface with a nice grip and feels. This is a better experience than many lenses, with enough weight and feel to seem almost like a mechanical manual focus ring.

Shooting on Sony zve10 and the night shooting is crazy good the background blur is amazing would recommend a higher focal range if you are planing on doing portraits with this lens but other than that amazing lens

UPDATE: I am updating this review because Coco at Viltrox company serve me and solve my lease issue. In a diligent, SUPER kind and amazing way. A big congratulation to that team of representative and engineer.Back to the lense. This is by far the best option on quality and value. At the momento you grab this lense it feels it is well made. All metal and sturdy smooth rings that fells very balance and his-end.The image quality is super good, it is a sharp lense, so if you are looking a cinema look and feel this can be a little bit to sharp but nothing you can solve on post.So far I use it for real state, events and even details because you can focus on object very very close, so that is an extra value.So far I haven't notice any barrel distortion o a chromatic aberration that ruins the image, so in terms of quality is a 9/10.

Ho notato assenza di distorsioni e una straordinaria nitidezza, soprattutto ai bordi, anche a tutta apertura. La diffrazione ai diaframmi chiusi è quasi assente.La messa a fuoco è veloce e silenziosa, rendendo l'ottica adatta a varie situazioni. Anche se potrebbe non essere perfetto per un utilizzo in condizioni climatiche estreme, per un utilizzo normale è sicuramente una scelta eccellente.Niente da dire, è un piacere usare questo obbiettivo

Very good build quality, incredible image quality. I was not able to spot any chromatic aberration, and very little distortion which impressed me for a wide angle lens. I’ve been using it with a Sony A6400 and Autofocus works very well for photography, can not speak on video as I have not tried that much.

If you have owned any Viltrox lenses then you are familiar with the overall quality (build and optics). This lens is no different . The 13mm on a cropped sensor is perfect. In addition to this I got the Sony 11mm which is a competitor to this lens. The advantage of the Sony is the weight and extra 2mm if you are wanting wider. Overall for the price this lens cannot be beat. Works perfectly for video also if you are using on a FF camera. I cant recommend this lens enough.
