I got this camera because I wanted to mod it for different frame formats (square and half-frame, mostly). I was expecting it to be really terrible, but assembly went much better than I thought. I had to sand/grind down a few plastic pieces for better fit, but the parts were mostly decently trimmed. I planned to 3D-print new gears for the film advance to accommodate the different formats, but the system is so basic, I really don't think I'll need to do that. I think I just need to note where on the dial the little arrows line up for the different formats. The biggest negative is that the tripod mount is not 1/4"-20 as is standard. It is M6-10 (I used an Ikea bolt to test this). I haven't taken any photos yet, but I fully expect light leaks and other lo-fi artifacts, but that is part of the reason I purchased this camera in the first place.
