We had high hopes for this bag but it ended up that it was too large for our son and we could not get over the smell. I know it is authentic leather but it had an "animal" scent. We took it out of the plastic bag for 2 weeks before wrapping it for our son for Christmas gift but it still had a strong odor.

Had it for about a month, the latch mechanism on the lock broke. Will need to get a new bag. Don't get fooled w this product.

Esthétique mais pour l'instant inutilisable !Le sac semble bien confectionné, mais je n'ai pas encore pu l'utiliser, car il dégage une forte odeur de poisson pourri !!! C'est certainement dû au traitement chimique qui a été appliqué, soit pour la teinte, soit pour lui donner un aspect de cuir...Je l'ai acheté le 29/11/2024, à la date ou je poste le commentaire nous sommes le 21/12/2024...Le sac est au fond de la remise, et il dégage encore cette puanteur ;

Good quality and design, Happy with it so far. It took a lot of leather conditioner to get it soft, which is fine if you know that, however, If you haven't cared for a real leather item before, don't be surprised at the extra attention it takes.

This is a nice bag with lots of room and pockets. Leather is finished well. Having said that, even though it has a handle, do not carry it like a brief case if you have some weight in it. The rivets(only one) on each of the buckle clips do not have any reinforcement and will rip through the leather in a short while.

I needed to replace my current work bag and wanted something that was strong and would last a for a long time. Having looked online at all the available bags, I decided the Hulsh vintage leather briefcase/messenger bag was right for me. It was delivered quickly and I could immediately see it was suitable for my needs. I was aware that some of these bags have an inherent odour but this didn't appear to be at all strong. A spray and wipe down on the outside of the bag, using a kitchen cleaner and a spray inside with a fabric cleaner immediately took away any odour. I have been using the bag for two weeks now without any problems and from the quality of the material and fixtures I cannot see why it should not continue to give good service for years to come. Very please with the product.

This is a beautiful bag. I received compliments on it the first day I used it. It fits my 17” work laptop nicely and has plenty of pockets and room for other items. Great value for the money. I’ve already recommended this bag to friends.

The product is great and I don’t have many negative things to say. Only nitpick will be it doesn’t stand well in its own unless there’s a lot of weight at the bottom. Looks and feels great; even has the strong smell of newly pressed leather for a few weeks after you buy it. Would definitely buy again

When I ordered this bag I was not expecting much considering its initial price of US$67.99. When I received it I was surprised at the quality and utility of it. The stitching is top-notch. It has, count them, 8 separate compartments! A padded middle compartment large enough for my 17.3 inch laptop with room for additional padding foam if you choose, 3 large zippered compartments, 5 additional storage sections, quick-opening latches that anchor its front straps and it has a shoulder strap. The leathery smell lingers for quite a while but Mr. Anshul Purohit (company president) assures us that it goes away.. after a few weeks. I ordered this out of Yonkers, NY and it arrived quite speedily. I recommend it.Update 07/17/21:I was able to get rid of the pungent leather smell by spraying the entire bag (inside/out) with 91% isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. At first, I was reluctant but did a test on the back of the bag and it worked. The bag turned a shade darker as Mr. Purohit promised would happen over time (a "few" weeks) but the rubbing alcohol (91%) quickened the process to just a couple of days.

The bag itself is very well made and durable! However, the bag I received has a very strong smell almost like manure on a farm, and I don’t want to wear it anywhere because it stinks.
