Upon receiving clock I was surprised by the size as I was expecting a much smaller clock. The look of clock is indeed "antique" looking but the quality is lacking. Description says its made of iron BUT ummm I am not sure about that. Doesn't feel heavy like I would assume iron would feel. Feels like a heavy plastic material. Visually from far away the clock looks nice. The time is visible and easy to ready from across the room. Clock takes 1 AA battery (no battery cover) Thus far the clock is still a ticking and is working. A HUGE PLUS for me is there is absolutely NO ticking or noise that the clock is working. It is INDEED a "silent clock" as described.

Let me first begin by saying…I really don’t like clocks. I never order them. The only reason I decided to try this one is due to its antique like appearance & I seen the word SMALL. Yea I guess you could call this small in comparison to others BUT I really thought it would be more compact. That is no one’s fault but my own. That’s what I get for not getting the dimensions. Moving on…I didn’t expect the best quality in the world but I did expect more than this. It feels cheap to me. It’s supposed to be a cast of iron. Doesn’t seem like good quality iron. The cover is plastic not glass. Not saying it should be glass BUT this is supposed to be antique like. Didn’t they use glass back in that time? Yes!! So why not get it as close as possible. Don’t even get me started on the welding. Some of the worst beads ever!!! The legs the top piece all has poor quality welding. It looks as though it was eagerly rushed through. No real time was taken to be thoughtful is what I’m trying to say. Last but not least, the back where the battery is inserted doesn’t even have a cover for it. Not that it truly matters but it matters!!! There is better out there. If I could give my two cents it would be to continue looking for something better!!!
