Your cart is empty.Callaham's saddles are designed from original Pre-CBS saddles with improvements. They have slightly lengthened the string slot compared to the Pre-CBS saddle so that the string will not bind and bend against the sharp edge before it goes over the saddle. This greatly reduces string breakage and improves intonation. The current production saddle is moved too far to the rear causing string breakage, loss of downward pressure on the saddle hurting both sustain and tone.These saddles are meant to fit with Mexican Standard bridges.

These a great saddles. I used them to replace the stock saddles on my MIM/Player Stratocaster. Definitely an upgrade in my opinion!However, you might read reviews above that I believe are not representative reviews. I don't want to invalidate them, but would like to add some context that can help you to make a purchase decision or not:The USA Vintage Saddles btw DO NO FIT, as someone pointed out in a review. I had reached out to Fender and they confirm to me that the spacing on those is too wide.You have to make sure that you have a 2 1/6" string spacing on your bridge. The vintage style Strats have wider spacing (2 7/32"), so these would NOT fit then (either you have 2 1/6 then the USA Vintage ones are too wide, or you have a vintage style bridge, then the Callahams are too narrow). Some people gave the Callahams bad review because they did not fit - but in some cases this was because they did not measure their current saddle spacing. SO make sure you know that you have 2 1/6 spacing and these ones will be a charm.

Really hoped these would fit my MIM Blacktop telcaster, but they were too small. I'm sure they would be fine for an MIM strat, but not an MIM telecaster.

I put these bad boys in my 2011 American standard telecaster. I replaced the old saddles cuz they were rusted. These Callahan saddles fit perfectly. As far as sound...the sustain is better and the tone is a little brighter. I dig it. Very good product.

Let's not get crazy; these are nice saddles, but they aren't perfect or magical by any remote stretch of the imagination. They are not any nicer than their Fender counterparts. The string channel is the same size between both brands if you get the USA Vintage Fender American Saddles. There are casting marks along the top intonation screw side of the saddle on the Callaham model, so, I'm wondering where the value is. I sense a load of hype around these. I'll use them since I paid for them, but if you already have the newer version of the Fender Vintage, then save your money.
