It worked but did not change the angle much because the cables are in the way.

Just set up a ring camera to our side door and was apprehensive about screwing it directly into the siding without any buffer. This worked like a charm with very straightforward instructions and overall installation. I really enjoy the feature that allows the camera to pivot to the ideal angle. We can easily see our back yard now because of this doorbell holder. Highly recommend!

It's a little flimsy - this is made of light plastic and the top groove where the housing rotates on the mount cracked a bit when trying to seat the housing into the mount.There wasn't a lot of room for the wires to get through the holes without preventing the rotation of the product but I did manage to get it to work.The grooves where it fits into 4 inch vinyl siding are a little short of that length but it still attached ok. The housing is just a little big for the Ring Video Doorbell and I had to put in a little foam to prevent it from moving about inside the housing.The housing itself is fairly bulky.So far, this was the only product I could see on Amazon that would fit my needs for fitting my Ring onto my vinyl siding so I didn't have a choice but to go with it.But It works and rotates just fine, so there's that. I'm satisfied, so far.

We got this mount for our house because we did not have a doorbell and the way our door is situated it does not face the street, we wanted something that we could see the full front porch and door. It works great! Easy to install and easy to remove the camera when it needs to be charged. It is sturdy and secure.

New siding on house. This has the nicest fit for the 4" double metal siding. The mounting holes in base are adjustable. I had to enlarge the wire hole in the middle to get the end of the wire for solar panel to fit through. Has a nice wide view to see through camera. Generation 2 ring doorbell has a couple gaps so I used a piece of the foam, cut it in half and laid it across the back of the ring before installing it to the base for a tighter fit and to fill the gap. I like how you can adjust it.
