Unlike many entry level violins available on-line, this was truly a beautiful instrument, fine finish, well fitted pegs, etc. I had to work over the bridge, and the strings it came with were horrible. But with a little effort, I fit the bridge, and replaced the strings with a set of "Fiddlerman", and the improvement was incredible. I bought this for one of my 2nd year students who has grown out of his 3/4 size instrument. Keep in mind, we're talking about a violin outfit that cost less than $110. The case was very nice, and even the brazilwood bow was decent. My student is thrilled and newly motivated. I've seen many entry-level student violin outfits, but this one certainly represents the best value of any. With good strings and a properly fit bridge, it produces a more than acceptable sound for young students.
