Description doesn't say it's the one that fold down. Can get by but looks ugly. Plastic is definitely less dense material.

the product was what we required. was able to repair a violin shoulder rest with the parts; much cheaper than buying a new shoulder rest

The pieces work, but only marginally so. The metal pin that serves as hinge is falling out and the plastic pieces are not of good quality. It is not the quality of the original Kun chin rest.
