Very nice looking product and was very easy to assemble. Only took 3 screws and the holes were pre-drilled and it looks good on the wall. Highly recommend.

A great addition to our pool room, this little shelf keeps the chalk where it should be and has a groove to catch the excess. Very easy to put together and install, I used a stud finder and a longer screw and it is very sturdy

The chalk holder is constructed of solid wood and feels heavy enough to hold up well for its intended use. The lion's head decoration on the bottom is a nice touch and looks great. The finish looks professional and we'll see if it holds up over time as it should.However, I have two issues that knocked off a couple of stars. First and most serious, the pilot holes for the screws holding the shelf to the back plate were off by about 3/16 of an inch. Doesn't sound like much, but if you look at the photos where I used the original holes it is clearly enough to be easily noticed. I was able to re-center the shelf and drill new pilot holes, but I shouldn't have to modify a brand new item in order to put it together properly.The second issue is lack of a bottom hole in the back plate to secure the chalk holder to the wall. One screw feels inadequate. It isn't a picture frame and folks will be putting at least some pressure on the chalk when they are rubbing their hands on it.I'm still giving it a 3 overall because it so well tooled and finished, but it could be better with regard to assembly and installation.

Very nice product for the money! I agree with the comment of having a second hole to stabilize the holder. I didn't try to use it with out that. I drilled a small hole by the base and used two screws.I would recommend this holder.

These are really a nice addition for your pool room. Takes longer unwrapping than putting together. But an absolute must have for serious pool players. I bought this particular one for a friend of mine that just got his first table. Of course I bought the cone chalk too. Great price, great quality on this item. The color is exactly as pictured too. I've had mine now three years, and after countless times of friends & family wrapping their palms around the cone, the holder hasn't ever needed adjusting in anyway. And just FYI, the Hathaway Silver Cup Cone Chalk is absolutely a perfect fit for the holder.
