This was going to be an Easter basket for my 2 year old grandson. Due to poor quality of material, specifically the weavers, the basket was not able to be completed. It cracked, splintered, etc... even though it was thoroughly soaked per instructions.

Perfect for adults. This is my first attempt. The laying out and squaring up in the early stages are critical for an excellent finish. Look at videos by Nancy a Master Basket weaver, they were the most helpful.

Needed a basket for a gift and this looked like an easy one to do.ProQuick delivery,All materials included.More than enough material to complete the basket with some left over.Instructions relatively clear.End result is pretty good all things considered.ConsMaterials were a bit cheap feeling.Had to cut a stake to have uneven weaving pattern work (per included instructions)Would have thought it would have been planned to have a full stake.D handle was split at top of the curve.Appeared to have been just jammed into a reed package, even after repair and glue--- it wasn't a good look.I ended up doing a wrapped handle using some left over reed from an egg basket to cover up the repaired handle.Finger joints in handle were OK but hard to glue and clamp.Not a bad kit.....just not as good as some others I have made.If I ordered this again, I would figure out how to have complete stakes(add) rather than having to cut one to achieve a weaving pattern.

I have made many baskets before and I will say that this reed was very poor. I am not sure if it was old but it split very easily. Also the directions were not that good. I am used to a much better quality.
