It help replace my key that my children broke. The only issue I have is that I have to replace the battery every month, if I don’t the unlock buttons do not work.

I had been quoted a few hundred dollars to get a key made from the Toyota dealership. Since I thought that was ridiculous I decided to give these a try. I bought these, on Amazon of course, and took them to the dealership. They attempted to program them, and we had no difficulties. The dealership was definitely annoyed that they didn't get a few hundred dollars for a key. They do not have the Toyota logo on the back, but I'm not willing to pay 300+ dollars for a key. No problems whatsoever.

Had keys cut and tried to program them per YouTube directions. Unsuccessful. Had a locksmith try and all he could do is make the keys start the car but was unable to program the buttons for locks and trunk pop. He said the frequency was wrong. I would have tried to return them but had already paid to have them cut . Lesson learned.

These keys worked as advertised for my 2007 Toyota Camry witch is a dot chip key.the build of the fab part if a little cheap but still works for the money.I had the dealer cut the key witch costed me $40 at my local dealer. really expensive to only cut a key if you ask me. they needed proof of ownership ( vehicle title ) and they did a factory cut on it without needing the other key to copy from. i could not find any other place near me to cut the keys witch was frustrating.i programmed the chip and the remote myself with my LAUNCH X431 V Pro 4.0 scanner.overall its a good value for the money but do your research before you buy to make sure you can get it programmed and cut locally. i didn't have to worry about this part but some places wont program your key if you do not buy from them.

I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla:There are 3 things you have to do with this key to get it to work.1. Get it cut: I cut mine for free at Home Depot, BUT that was only because I struck up a conversation with the guy and he decided to cut them for me. He originally said no because of liability. So you can take a chance to see if you can get it done there, but may be better to save time and just go to a locksmith.2. Program the Transponder part of the key that communicates to the car that is ok to start. The transponder is not the remote(lock, unlock, trunk, panic - buttons) - that is part 3. I orded "Tomskey.com" to program the transponder and the remote.3. Program the Remote - there are a few ways to program the remote. One is using the sequence provided with these keys that DID NOT WORK. The other is using the Tomskey programmer. Unfortunately for me neither worked for programming the Remote part.Thankfully the Tomskey did allow me to program the transponder part of the key so I could start the car and run it. I just can't use the remote to open trunk, lock and unlock doors. That being said I would recommend purchasing this key from Tomskeys website. You will pay more for 1 key from him, I think about 37.50 for a single key, but I would guess you will be able to program the remote.
