Visually: The intake looks great. It has a custom molded air box that fits around the washer fluid filler neck and snuggly where the stock box was located. The easy access door for the filter box has the Volant crest which also looks great.Installation: The install was moderately difficult. I had to drill the holes for the Mass Airflow Sensor in the wind tunnel to bolt the sensor in place. Connecting to the throttle body of my truck was Quick and easy. You will need to make modifications to the box to attach bracket to the airbox to secure it to your truck. I also had to purchase a small piece of hose to extend one of the hoses that are attached to the wind tunnel.Performance: I cannot really speak about performance gains. I can hear my truck suck in air now which sounds cool. I have not tracked gas mileage. What I would like to see: predrilled and attached brackets to secure the airbox to the vehicle. Adjustable L brackets should do it. Black connector for the hose extensions for a cleaner look.Overall: I am very pleased with the look and feel of the intake now that it is in. I would recommend this intake. I added this intake after I added headers to my truck.

Sounds excellent. Didnt fit perfect for my application. 04 tundra DC 4.7L 4x4. I didnt modify anything, just had to kinda force it. Butt dyno confirms +50hp. Nice and quiet at idle you can hear a nice low tone on acceleration. Aswell as the "whistle" from the throttle body.

I have noticed a mile or two increase in mileage per gallon in my 2004 Toyota Tundra CrewMax.there were a few minor attachment point locations I needed to be modified..But over all a nice install.BTW when you need to put the pedal down.... It will freak the hell out ya!!! not a bad thing... a nice growling monster.

First of all I love Volant products. Great fitment on my 2000 Toyota Tundra. I've used Volant cold air intakes on other vehicles in the past and had great performance and easy installations. For some reason I dont think they tuned this set up for the 2000 Toyota Tundra. I'm a master Certified mechanic with over 20 years experience. After installation I noticed that it now has a hesitation on acceleration and my fuel trims are over 20% too high. It also decreased my fuel mileage.I checked for any leaks and did all kinds of trouble shooting. I found no other issues. I put my factory set up back on, no issues at all. I sent an email explaining this to Volant and have had no reply at all. It might work better on other years, but that I cant confirm. On the 2000 Tundra the original airflow meter is designed into the air box and Toyota tuned their ecms to work with that set up. It doesnt like the Volant intake at all. I wish it worked for me, because Volant has the best designed kits I've seen!
