Hardly a regulator unless it's DOA... 16.8V at 3,000RPM would indicate a shorted pass transistor, if anything's actually in there. A 250 mile weekend on 2 lane roads and it had boiled off 5mm + (1/4") of water in my battery...Returning...Did get here in a Day, though

I ordered this regulator/rectifier mostly because of price, and available through Amazon. I did not check with Ohmmeter prior to install, but I tried after removal with an inexpensive digital multi-meter, and could not obtain any resistance readings. My alternator out put is about 30 vac and increases with rpm. With this rectifier installed, i had charging volts (dc) of 15+ volts and increasing with rpm. lights were pulsing . I believe this is defective causing an overcharging condition. I was cautioned through a Yamaha forum, ab.out buying "aftermarket" regulators,.....for this very reason. A replacement would be hoped for.

I received the voltage regulator in a timely manner. The product bolted up and the connections were correct.

Overcharged the battery, providing almost 18V at3k rpm
