Neither of these detected 120 volts AC from a known working circuit.I tested by inserting the screwdriver into the hot side of a known working outlet, no activation of the internal neon light.I tested by removing the cover of a knowing working outlet and touching the hot side, black wire side and there was no indication of the presence of voltage.These don't seem safe or reliable to me. I do not recommend you purchase these.
