We received a new TV and it didn't have audio out. We like playing the TV through our stereo though it isn't surround sound. Searched for and HDMI ARC audio extractor and purchased one, but it didn't work. I reached out to the company for some instructions and they wrote back that I had bought the wrong product. We got this new one in and within a few minutes we had the audio playing through our stereo!Kudos to the company and their customer support!
