Fantastic DI for the money. I have several active DI’s and a passive DI. This tiny DI takes up almost no space on a pedal board and works great. The ground lift kills any noise you might have. The speaker sim 4x12 cab sounds great. Very impressive. Sounds better than other DI’s that cost 4 times as much. Very pleased.

This is a good pedal if you're gigging and often run through a house PA. I can use a small, just enough to be a decent monitor, amp and that makes more room on the stage and less weight to load and unload.The ground lift reduces hum if you have any. Most "neighborhood bar" type venues don't have a nice shielded electrical system at the stage. It is nice to have a clean signal one button push away. I haven't needed to use the 0+/-20dB switch. It is set at zero and seems to push enough signal through.I don't know the VSN brand, but this little buddy makes the setup easier, and it works great.

Not everyone needs a direct box on their pedalboard, but for me it's worth having. If you use it for recording I would recommend putting a preamp and cab sim before it. For live performance the built in cab sim isn't bad for guitar. For bass I wouldn't bother with the cab sim for something live.

This compact DI box from VSN performs well. I've noticed no noticeable hiss or hum when using it. It's nice to have these available when on the go. This box appears well-constructed and sturdy. It's easy to use and does the job is an affordable option.All in all, I'm pleased with this DI box. Should my experience with it change in the future, the review will be updated.

VSN is a new brand for me as I do not have any other pedals from this manufacturer. The case feels solid and is all metal construction. No option for a 9v battery as thus is a Mini pedal. There is a "ground lift button" for the grounded XLR connection in case you are getting noise from it. There is a Cab simulator, I'm not sure what Cab is simulating but adds some help to your signal. This can also help improve the quality of your audio signal. This was listed for $35 with a 10% off coupon for a total of $31.50 at the time of this review

This mini pedal/DI box is really useful. I have it on my pedalboard for bass with a few other pedals in front of it: tuner, compressor, EQ, chorus. There is one input, a balanced XLR out and an unbalanced out. XLR goes out to Front of House/PA and the unbalanced out goes to my amp input. A few other notable features: a ground lift button on the side, a switch for a cabinet simulator, a three-position gain switch.The cab simulator sounds pretty good. There is only one cab choice (not sure what it is based on), and I haven't found a need to use it yet. The LED changes color when the cab is activated.The gain switch gives you three choices: -20 dB, 0dB, and +20dB. I am using a bass with active electronics and the 0dB works great for me. If I had a bass with passive electronics I might try the +20 dB setting.This works on 9 V DC and I use a power supply for my pedal board, the same for all my pedals.This unit is just what I need right now with my current bass amp because it has some issues with it's built in line out that makes it unusable. This mini DI Box is just what I needed and it works great.
