Yes, these really work! Charge the battery and put it in the car. No more jumper cables taking up space in my trunk and/or really on the kindness of strangers or to pay a towing company for a jump. Be self-reliant, keep one of these with you, charge it up every six months and get your car started in minutes instead of waiting for help! No idea why the darn car battery is simply not replaced with a battery this instead! Once you use one of these, you will never use jumper cables again!

The absence of a wall charger may not be an issue to the younger generation who may have many charger connections available, but it was a problem for me ... so I returned this model and ordered the one that came with a wall charger (VTO V8 Pro). These jump starters are terrific and I now keep one in both cars. Having one readily available when you need it saves hours of time and aggravation waiting for auto assistance.

My old VW van battery went totally dead so I got to use this for the first time. Took 2 seconds to connect and it started right up, I was amazed. It only used one bar of power of the five which is crazy. Then I was on a camping trip and my phone died, total panic mode. Then remembered I had this in the van and it charged my phone full in an hour. This thing saving me twice was worth every penny. My neighbor just bought one when he saw me jump the van in the driveway. Jumper cables rely on another vehicle, I feel so good knowing I can jump the van by myself wherever and whenever in under a minute. Just saw it on sale for $50 which is crazy!
