The freezer part of our fridge was not defrosting which caused the fridge part to stop cooling. My husband replaced this one part and everything works great now saving us from buying a whole new fridge.

I am returning this product. I have a Kitchen Aid side by side refrigerator. Searching online the original Part #2196155 was replaced with W10225581 and then replaced with WPW10225581. After purchasing this part and receiving it, this part is marked with "L48-15F", which means when temp gets to 48 degrees it turns off and when it reaches 33 degrees (48-15=33) it turns on, but 33 deg doesn't sound low enough, so I googled for the specs of WPW10225581 and found that the specs should be L45-27R (45 deg on the high side and 18 deg on the low side). I found what appears to be the correct part on Amazon for about the same price ("BOJACK W10225581 Defrost Thermostat Fit for Refrigerators Replaces WPW10225581 PS11750673 PS237680 2149849 2321799 AP6017375 Refrigerator Thermostat Replacement Part".)

Although not listed as compatible, this thermostat easily replaced the bad thermostat on my Amana refrigerator and has been working flawlessly for the last two month. It has the same mounting type clip and wires the same as the OEM Amana thermostat, but is only 1/5th of the cost. Big savings
