the od of the outlet was 5/16 so not 3/8 or 1/2 inch but it works grat and is very quiet

Correct fit, perfect function, no leaks. Review is for the newly installed part, so durability is unknown for now. Replaced the original W10238100 when my Ikea (Whirlpool) fridge started leaking from the outlet tube connection.

Part looks fine but the press connect on the bottom where the fridge water line goes in would not seal. Cut it properly as per instructions. Leaked and could not get the line in properly. Most likely a defective press connect.

This product functions as intended however it did not fit into my refrigerator the way the OEM valve did. Slight modification to the mounting bracket was necessary to get it to fit inside of the rear cabinet otherwise the valve works.

Got here quickly. Perfect fit and worked right away. Great replacement for the OEM part that failed after 7 years (developed a leak in the side of the plastic housing).

This product was a nightmare for me. These are simple to install so I was surprised when it started to spew water everywhere as soon as I installed it. I thought, did I do something wrong? Watched tons of YouTube videos, Red lots of explanations online about leaking water lines. In the end, I simply bought a replacement to this piece of junk which installed easily and worked perfectly. I do not recommend this product unless you enjoy leaks. I only wish I could get my money back. Garbage product

Changes this out on my fridge and it appears to work better than the original. Easy to change out (YouTube if you need) I had this on in less than 10 min including moving out the fridge and putting it back. So far no leaking and seems to be a good purchase.
