I have one of the cook tops that was listed as being compatible with this knob and one of my knobs is broken (the piece inside that shapes the flat side of the hole is broken, leaving a fully circular hole that doesn't turn the dial). This knob is the same size and shape as the stock ones, but it is plastic rather than metal, the colour is different, and it's got a streaky finish that stands out. It looks like a cheap replacement. It also didn't fit properly - I really had to shove it hard to get it onto the dial but it didn't go all the way on. I'll be buying a replacement from Whirlpool because this just ain't it.
