Just got my "talomen W50X Over Ear Headphones for Studio Monitoring (etc.)," and as a layperson, I can say these are the nicest headphones I've ever used. So why not 5 stars? Because these are intended for a more sophisticated user, and I'm not qualified to evaluate them from that perspective. Until now, I've never owned a set that cost more than $20 in my life -- I'm not even a proper audiophile, let alone a professional. From MY perspective, they get 5 stars, for what that's worth.What I can say is that they're very comfortable with plenty of latitude for adjustment to fit the head. The cord is quite long and comes with a 6mm adapter. (That huge jack on the end? Don't panic -- that's just the adapter, already attached. You don't have to use it if you don't have a port for it; just unscrew it and set it aside.) And they sound lovely, as far as I'm concerned. Very rich and clear. Note also that they're made by a company that specializes in electronics for recording, rather than one whose product page includes plastic flowers, a dishwasher, house paint, and children's flip-flops. All their products seem to have 4-star reviews or better, so I suspect these headphones will perform well for a long time under ordinary use.As to the value for the money, again, I can't comment, because I don't have a basis for comparison. Others can fill in that part.Note: I rely heavily on reviews for my purchases, and I give honest reviews in return, whether the items are free or paid for. I refuse to be responsible for junky consumer landfill, so I order only what I can really use, and only if the listing and the seller's main page pass the sniff test. These headphones are actually really nice for the price. The 50mm drivers definitely take them up a level compared to others in this range. The audio sounds great with a natural bass and no ear-screaming tinny highs, which makes them much better than a lot of others in this category. They cover the full frequency range, making for an enjoyable listening experience. The comfort is surprising, even though they don’t adjust left and right, just up and down. A bit more flexibility would have been nice, but they still fit well. The build quality feels solid, and they fold up nicely to fit into the travel case, which is great for taking them on the go. The ear pads are really nice, which is a huge bonus because no matter how great headphones sound, if they aren’t comfortable, they’re useless. I can wear these for hours with zero discomfort, even without the left-to-right swivel. The cord is a decent length and locks into the headphones, so it won’t accidentally pop out. A nice extra is the included 1/4” adapter, which comes in handy when I want to use them with my guitar modeller.

The headphone comes with a really strong storage/carrying case with a great zipper and convenient carrying strap. The audio cord uses a stereo 1/8" connector on each end, and there is an adapter for the output end to convert the 1/8" in to 1/4"; the adapter screws on for safety, you cannot accidentally pull it out without turning it. The 1/8" plug on the output end has a long shank and does not fully insert into some of my devices; however it does make good electrical contact. Do not be tempted to force it all the way in; verify it has made electrical connection at the first sign of resistance. The ear pads are very soft and turn 180° so you can face them into your ear or out as needed. The headphones fold up to fit in the case and there was ample room for the cord and adapter as well.I have to say that these are extremely comfortable to use, and the padded earpieces almost completely block outside sound, which is not possible with other brands. The sound, to me, compared to cheaper 'student' class earphones is MUCH better .. richer sound with better bass and mid-range response. I cannot judge very high frequencies since while testing with a frequency generator, I could not hear above 12 kHz, but I believe this to be a limitation of me and not the earphones. I do not have any test equipment to verify if the earphones are producing high frequencies or not; but listening to music with these just feels 'fuller' so maybe the high frequencies are there, but I cannot perceive them as sound, only feelings.The earpieces are independently adjustable to fit your ears; and they rotate easily for the perfect fit.Very short summary: I like them a lot, they are now my favorites.

Talomen W50X Over Ear Kopfhörer mit KabelIch habe den Kopfhörer zum Test bestellt, einfach weil ich neugierig war, wie der analoge Kopfhörer klingt. Dann kam er an und ich habe ihn mir mal genauer angeschaut. Ja, er wirkt sehr ordentlich gebaut; da ist nichts dran, was negativ auffallen würde. Das ist in diesem Preisbereich durchaus bedeutend – hier wurde also schon die erste Hürde genommen. Positiv ist mir aufgefallen, dass die Klemmkraft sehr gleichmäßig bleibt, egal ob man den Kopfhörer für einen schmalen oder breiten Kopf einstellt. Das ist grundsätzlich positiv für den Tragekomfort – viele Kopfhörer kriegen das nicht so gut hin wie der W50X von talomen.Ich habe ihn dann erstmal in Ruhe einspielen lassen. Dabei habe ich angefangen, etwas nachzudenken. Zuerst ist es mir bei den offenen Kopfhörern aufgefallen: Die günstigen und guten Modelle, die ich schon einigen Freunden und Kollegen empfohlen habe, sind entweder nicht mehr lieferbar oder deutlich im Preis gestiegen. Bei den geschlossenen Kopfhörern ist die Situation nicht besser. Eine wirklich gute Gelegenheit für den talomen W50X.Erste AnpassungDie Ohrpolster habe ich einmal kurz benutzt und dann vom Kopfhörer gerissen. Eines will ich klarstellen: Völlig egal, welche Marke oder welcher Preispunkt – Kunstleder ist der größte Mist und sollte prinzipiell nicht mit Haut in Kontakt kommen. Denn einerseits schwitzt die Haut übermäßig darunter und zweitens zersetzt sich das Material irgendwann in Makro- und Mikroplastikflocken. Es gab aber noch einen Komfort-Grund, wieso ich die mitgelieferten Ohrpolster nicht nutzen wollte: Sie sind zwar weich, aber deutlich zu dünn. Das Gehäuse ist zu nah am Ohr und es ist dadurch ungemütlich. Ich habe eine Kiste mit ovalen Upgrade-Ohrpolstern; es gibt für mich sowieso keinen Grund, mich mit den mitgelieferten Ohrpolstern abzumühen. Ich kann aber auch jedem Käufer von günstigen und zum Teil auch etwas teureren Kopfhörern empfehlen, ein Upgrade bei den Ohrpolstern vorzunehmen. Das kann sich klanglich zwar zu einem Trial-and-Error-Vorhaben entwickeln, ist die Mühe aber wert. Ich habe deutlich dickere Ohrpolster mit Micro Suede draufgezogen, die ich gerne mag, und habe damit Zeit mit dem talomen W50X verbracht.Geschlossener KopfhörerEs kommt natürlich auch darauf an, welche Ohrpolster man verwendet, aber grundsätzlich lässt der Kopfhörer wenig Sound nach außen entweichen, auch wenn man etwas lauter hört. Andersherum ist die Isolierung von Außengeräuschen okay; sie wird gedämpft, aber man kann noch alles hören, wenn kein Sound gespielt wird. Das Ohrklima bleibt nicht so trocken wie bei offenen Kopfhörern, aber für einen geschlossenen ist es wirklich okay.KlangDas hier ist ein sehr effizienter Kopfhörer, der wenig Leistung benötigt, um laut zu spielen. Was die Lautstärke selbst angeht: Bei mittlerer und ordentlicher Lautstärke ist er fein. Wenn man aber sehr laut hören will, muss man damit leben, dass sein Tuning bzw. der Treiber an Grenzen stößt und es nicht mehr so sauber klingt. Mit dem kräftigen Bass und der Lebendigkeit bei mittlerer Lautstärke ist es aber auch kein Kopfhörer, der einen verleitet, immer lauter und lauter zu hören.Im Detail kommt es natürlich auf die verwendeten Ohrpolster an, aber grundsätzlich hat er einen kräftigen Bass – manchmal vielleicht sogar zu viel, aber er ist trocken. Es ist einfach ein großer Treiber in einem geschlossenen Gehäuse, der richtig Druck macht. Es ist kein schwächlicher oder kleiner Treiber, der nur so abgestimmt wurde, dass er im Bassbereich laut brummt. Andererseits klingen Trommeln und Schlagzeug so wuchtig, dass ich dem Kopfhörer nicht böse sein kann. Manchmal meine ich, kleine unschöne Resonanzen wahrzunehmen, aber ich denke, das kommt von den Liedern, denn gut abgemischte Songs klingen sauber. Selbst wenn nicht, ist der Sound so aufdringlich lebendig, dass man einfach vom positiven Eindruck mitgerissen wird. Der Kopfhörer trifft einen schönen Kompromiss: Er bietet eine ordentliche Menge an Details, kann trotzdem gut von Schwächen in Liedern bzw. im Mastering ablenken, aber ohne zu verfälschen. Und ich finde, das ist der beste Kompromiss, den man sich in dieser Preisklasse wünschen kann.Der mittlere Frequenzbereich ist etwas reduziert bzw. Stimmen haben es etwas schwerer, sich in den Vordergrund zu spielen. Dafür wird obenrum genug Glanz und Würze auf die Musik gestreut. Die hohen Frequenzen sind präsent, aber gleichzeitig sehr angenehm.Die Separation ist gut, nicht zu klinisch, heißt die Musik wird nicht in ihre Einzelteile zerlegt, trotzdem gut genug, dass man bei komplexeren Liedern und bei Games sehr viel raushören kann. Auch hier gilt: Für die Preisklasse ist das für Musik echt cool, weil der Kopfhörer auf einem ordentlichen Niveau spielt, aber Spaß an der Musik im Vordergrund steht.Sowohl bei Musik als auch bei Games habe ich die Räumlichkeit bei diesen Kopfhörern nicht wirklich wahrgenommen. Die Ortung ist ordentlich, es kommt nur nicht dieses Gefühl der Räumlichkeit auf. Ich habe den Eindruck, das ist ein Kompromiss, den der Kopfhörer eingeht, um in anderen Punkten stärker dazustehen. In der Preisklasse völlig verständlich. Schlecht ist er zum gelegentlichen Spielen trotzdem nicht. Effekte und Explosionen haben ordentlich Wucht, und die gute Separation lässt sich auch bei Games nicht so leicht die Butter vom Brot nehmen.Punkte zum Meckern – aber bei der Preisklasse eigentlich auch nichtDas Kabel wird in der Verpackung leider stark geknickt und diese Biegungen gehen auch nicht wirklich raus. Dadurch entsteht schnell ein Knäuel auf dem Schreibtisch. Ansonsten ist das Kabel aber nicht zu steif, nicht zu schwer und die Haptik ist auch nett, böse kann ich einem Kopfhörer für deutlich unter 100 € nicht sein. Markenkopfhörer für das 3- oder 4-Fache haben zum Teil schlechtere Kabel. In der Preisklasse ist es dagegen sehr positiv, dass man das Kabel abnehmen kann. Wenn man ein 3,5-mm-Kabel mit kleinem Steckergehäuse hat (bis 6,55 mm Durchmesser), kann man das Kabel sogar problemlos austauschen.FazitSelbst mit besseren Ohrpolstern ist der Preis immer noch sehr ansprechend. Entscheidender ist jedoch, dass der Kopfhörer für das Geld ein hohes Maß an Spaß beim Musikhören liefert. Auch in anderen Teildisziplinen schlägt er sich gut. Das abnehmbare Kabel und die sehr ordentliche Konstruktion machen den talomen W50X zu einer absoluten Empfehlung unter den günstigen geschlossenen Kopfhörern.

The Talomen W50x is almost perfect. Sound quality is comparable to well known brands while being affordable. The patented jack cable does really stop the cable from unplugging it by accident, which is a plus. Build quality is decent. The only negative I found is that the over the ear doesn't feel like one, so it's tight on the ears. It's worse if you wear glasses.

Ce qui peut être contraignant lors d'une utilisation prolongée.- l'isolation phonique passive est correct mais n'est pas adaptée à un environnement bruyant.Dans l'ensemble, j'en suis satisfaite.On a un bon rapport qualité/prix.

TL;DR: I'm very happy with these headphones overall, and would definitely recommend them. Sound quality and comfort are both great. These are good wired headphones for $50.--SOUND: The sound quality is very nice. Lows, mids, and highs all sound clear and are well-balanced. I can clearly hear both loud and quiet sounds. It doesn't feel like the bass is too overblown, as I've seen other headphones do to cover for lacking quality.COMFORT: These are very comfortable headphones with thick, pillowy earpads. The arms extend pretty far on both sides, and the earcups swivel along a wide range. The top of the arms is also padded, so everywhere that touches your head feels nice and not stiff.DURABILITY: These seem to be well-built; high-wear areas, like the arms, are reinforced with metal. It makes me a bit nervous that the audio cable from the left to the right ear goes outside of the arm, but I haven't had any problem with it so far. It feels well-built as well and has a braided exterior, so as long as you're careful, everything should be fine.CABLE: These headphones come with one 3.5mm AUX cable and a 1/4" adapter. The included cable locks into the headphone end, helping to prevent it from being ripped out; too much force will still rip it out, though, so be careful! I found that the cable length was adequate for my use case, running to my PC under my desk - not too long, not too short.

有線型のヘッドホンでグレーのケースの中にヘッドホン本体とケーブルが入っています。ケーブルは接続が太く見えますが、変換アダプターが付いているだけで外せば3.5mmのイヤホンジャックになっているのでパソコン等に接続して使うこともできます。かなり長めなので、楽器等に繋いで演奏するのにも使えそうです。ケースはカッチリとしていて保管や持ち運びがしやすそうです。ヘッドホンはクッションにフィット感があり、着け心地がよかったです。たまにヘッドホンが大きくて、1番小さく調整してもブカブカなことがありますが、こちらのヘッドホンは大きさもぴったりでした。(サイズは調整できるので、大きめサイズにもなります)音質については中高音がクリアで聴き心地がよかったです。一方で重低音を重視する人には物足りないかもしれないなと感じました。

I am quite shocked by these headphones. I wouldn't hesitate to put them up against some serious name brands out there.The sound quality is just phenomenal. I used them with the supplied cable and ifi Zen Dac V3 and I was absolutely blown away at the rendition of nice, natural sounding bass and beautiful, detailed highs. The mids are dropped a little bit but I had no issues hearing vocals beautifully in all of my favorite songs.They are also very comfortable, I wore them for hours and had no fatigue, at all!I would say these are an amazing value because it's hard to find sound this good at the price point they are offered!
