I got the H track version of this fixture. H Track has 3 wires, hot, ground, neutral. One of the product questions posted here the manufacture responded and said these work in Halo track. They do, but none of the 12 I bought did out of the box. They all took opening up the fixture and securing the wire/clip that sticks out and contacts the track itself. These metal contacts are just barely long enough. If they were .5 mm longer this wouldn't be an issue but as they are, I had none of the fixtures work out of the box. After verifying it wasn't a track/end starter issue and that the track did have the correct voltage for the fixtures I discovered the metal contacts on the fixture base had play in them. You could slightly push them in. When the fixture is inserted and turned to lock into the track, that was enough movement to push the contact back and not engage the track properly. Once I opened the base (easy to do, just 2 screws) you can clearly see the wire/metal tab wasn't properly seated. This let the metal tab push in and not provide power to the fixture. One or two fixtures out of a dozen I can see this happening in shipping, but all 12, that's just poor quality control.I did still rate these 3 stars because once they do work, they provide a clean bright light that works perfectly with just about any dimmer. They are very compact design that blends in with the white beam ceiling they were installed on. My customer was happy with the outcome, I wasn't too thrilled with all the time I wasted troubleshooting a manufacturing issue.
