Just returned two previous orders that were made in china. Made in America . Works great! Never ever ever ever buy this product from china! America cuts cleanly and protects thread with rubber cover. China cuts rod crossways.all you can do is cross thread. China made is Unuseable junk!

If you have any grip issues or upper strength limitations you will have a problem. Putting together was an adventure in itself. When putting in your pants to stretch it out difficult to grip & then keep turning while maintaining position in waistband. I discarded & got a extended clamp system, reversed position of clamps hand grips much easier & no issues on keeping in waistband.

This is the second time I purchased one of these. I have a 37 waist so I need an extra inch. The last one worked great until the threads stripped out of one side of the center turn buckle. No problem. I just used one of the extensions that are supplied, pushed the wooden part all the way into the striped end and only turned one end with the extension out. when that end stripped out it was time for a new one. The problem is they make the threaded ends on the wooden parts out of steel, but the center piece ( turn buckle) out of aluminum. Why they don't make that out of steel is beyond me. This new one is made out of the same material. Maybe it is to keep selling these, because they do work great until they strip out.

A bit awkward to use, but it does work as advertised. The key is to moisten the material well at the waist band and BE PATIENT while periodically applying more pressure to the stretcher over days. My extra pounds were not built overnight and this stretcher won't work miracles overnight. BE PATIENT and it will do its job.

great product ! of course it would be better to loose weight but in the mean time I hate to throw away almost new jeans because they have for some strange reason shrunk too much. I recommend this well built and simple device to stretch those treasured pants to once again be able to wear them in more comfort. If you wash your jeans and attach the stretcher to them wet it works great!

I am thrilled with this although I wish the handle was thicker. Its very hard to turn when it gets tight. I have to use a pliers. But this is so much stronger than my plastic one that broke one of the inserts so it unusable now. This one will last a lifetime. I need to figure out how to thicken up the handle though. Please think about this when you make new ones!

I didn't buy this for myself ... my girlfriend's uncle - who is a very opinionated 94-year-old who served with the 101st Airborne at Normandy - had washed his jeans in hot water ... being the frugal man he is, he did not want to throw them out but asked if we knew if such a thing as a jeans stretcher existed ... since he lives so far back in the woods on Puget Sound he gets Saturday Night Live on Tuesdays I went to amazon and sent this to him ... we visited him last week and he said the jeans stretcher worked fine - and that's the best review I can give for this item ... you just have to believe me or find out for yourself ... I wish you well in doing so ...
