The muffler clamp was ordered as a group order with a catalytic converter. The 2-1/4 clamp was too small to fit the pipe. The supplier, or Amazon needs to verify that the products do indeed work together properly. I know this may be a difficult task as this fits multiple vehicles, but would definitely be a benefit to the consumer. I did not return the clamp to Amazon as the effort involved was too much for the low cost of the clamp.

There's cheaper and thicker ones at the parts stores. I just needed one to get by until final install, but if you have limited space, these are slimmer due to being like 3/16 thick.

I searched for "2.5 exhaust clamp" These popped up at a decent price. Walker makes quality exhaust components and the free shipping was a selling point. When I received them, they box clearly stated 2 1/4". It was my fault for not cross-referencing the part numbers, but I really think the size should be mentioned in the item description. Amazon was happy to correct my mistake, and the clamps look much sturdier than the no-name units I bought at my local parts store.Bottom line, if you need 2 1/4" clamps, these are a great buy.

Got a complete system via Amazon, new converter back. Worked out nice. This piece was used for an exhaust job on my 87 Astro van with a 4.3 V6. Did not fit quite as nice as I'd like, but I am nit-picking. Don't waste your time trying to get the Walker exhaust part numbered clamps. Just get the standard or heavy duty exhaust clamps. Some of these were pretty skinny in diameter and must be prone to rust sooner.
