The one hanger needed to be bent up in order for taile pipe to be installed however thst wasn't difficult. The muffler isnt as quiet as I was expecting it to be it kinda has a higher pitched tone to it like Honda civic aftermarket exhaust vibes lol. Not overly happy with that but is what it is . Its already welded on. And its still quieter then its been in years. I used walker products to replace from cat back atm. Very simple quick job.

I have the 2008 2WD Base Toyota Matrix. It's important to note the 4WD - due to rear end setup, is slightly different and takes different parts.Originally went from a Toyota OEM ($400-$600 OEM cost)... to a Bosal 228-165 ($135 or so), then the Walker.I'll save you the trouble, the Bosal is loud like a coke can and not worth considering, I removed it and installed the Walker. For Walker, the tailpipe-to-muffler (+ intermediate pipe) parts that one usually has to buy costs roughly $150* Quiet Flow Muffler 21501 (~$80)* Walker 52322 Tail Pipe (~$25)* Walker 52453 Intermediate Exhaust Pipe $35Total is about $135-$150 usually. Then you need:* 2 - 2" exhaust clamps ~~ $10 tops (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C8ZAQY)(Toyota and Bosal are one-piece, no need for clamps) ... and* MAYBE a Walker Gasket $10 - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AX9TJE/(though you may be able to reuse the old one)The installation went well, and the Walker is as good as the OEM in sound quality (very quiet). We have another "good" Toyota Matrix/Vibe with Toyota OEM muffler for comparison.I think you really can't go wrong with the Walker Stainless Steel for the price.UPDATE: I replaced my V6 2010 Camry muffler(s) with the Walker setup.. I'd say spray them with black exhaust paint before install if you can.. Lexus seems to do this with their similar OEM mufflers. These mufflers (Walker) can pit/rust in spots on the galvanized parts... and typically these mufflers blow out from the TOP... So $10 worth of exhaust paint is worth it.. it may extend the life of your muffler.

I bought walker resonator, pipe, muffler and tail pipe for a Toyota Matrix. Easiest exhaust project I’ve done. I was waiting for the piece that was going to be the problem, but it never happened, went together as it should. I’m giving it 5 stars, but technically I had to bend a hanger a bit to get the tail pipe on the muffler. Not a big deal.

Great fit as it should. The hanger on the inlet side could be better but the inlet pipe had a hanger so it didn't matter in this case.
