So 6 months ago I put a complete exhaust on my car, fitment was outstanding. Within 4 months the weld on the muffler failed, and was as loud as you could imagine. This was an installation with all new brackets and hangers. Anyway figured this was a fluke thing so I ordered the exact same muffler because I was so impressed with the fitment. WELL I'LL BE DAMMED IF THIS MUFFLER WAS DEFECTIVE AS WELL! The internal baffling is rattling and detached in side the muffler! JUNK!!

Installed it on the weekend as original rusted right off. Tried it out with 2 different resonator exhaust sections and with both the muffler will only align if you don't hook up the 3rd, rear-most exhaust hanger. The bend in the pipe on the resonator side needs to be adjusted for this muffler to sit level. If you force the last hanger on, the flanges will leave a gap and you'll be spraying corrosive exhaust liquid on your rear suspension cross member. If you only use the 2 front-side hangers the flanges will fit fine, but the rearmost hook will be about 1.5 inches below the hanger and impossible to attach.Interestingly this muffler also has a hole drilled on the bottom of the side-plate on the resonator side. I presume this is for drainage. However since the hangers don't quite work and the muffler tilts down in rear, the drain hole is on the higher side and won't drain the muffler. Also this hole now shoots exhaust on the rear suspension crossmember. Maybe would've made more sense to have it not venting towards vehicle components and to the rear of the car instead.

Fit like a glove. No welding, no fitting or swearing cause it didn't match up. Tried going local and even a little farther away. Wanted $80-$100 more. Perfect fit for car and wallet.

says fits 2006 aveo but not hatchback, also says comes with gasket . there was no gasket !

This must have been a factory reject that was reworked. All welds were rusty meaning too much heat went into the welds and the nickel was blown out of the stainless. Several of the welds had signs of repairs the hangers needed to be bent back into shape to get them to fit. Still cheaper than the muffler shop.

Amazing fit but the welds broke at the muffler

Perfect fit 2007 Aveo sedan. Note, I did install an entire new exhaust system, all parts from Walker. But, it did look like it would have matched up to existing if you are only replacing this piece. Also matched up to existing hangers perfectly. Hard to tell from some of the stock pictures, there are flanges. All you need is bolts, nuts, washers, lock washer and gaskets at every joint. Gaskets I bought were also Walker. Suggest going to Walkers website as I did to ensure you are getting the proper parts, then search here on Amazon.
