Excellent walking foot. If you ever had to sew "slippery" fabrics you know the pain of keeping the layers from sliding as you go, even if you've carefully pinned everything down. This walking foot fits easily on my Brother SE700 and acts like feed dogs coming from the top. Note that you cannot reverse stitch while this foot is installed and refer to your machine manual to see what stitches can be done with a walking foot.

This surprised me! It works very well. It fit on my brother sewing machine easily. I tested it on a few layers of cotton which was a breeze for this foot. I wish I had some denim or heavier fabrics available to test. When I get some, I’ll be back to add the details of that experiment as well. Overall, if you’re in the market for a walking foot, this is a good one to try!

unfortunately this didn't work with my Bernina sewing machine. The description said as much but I decided to give it a try anyway. The foot itself seems well made and fairly sturdy.

I got this because I have started making quilts but noticed my fabric was bunching. I read online that a walking foot would help reduce that by feeding the upper and lower layers of fabric at the same time. This did the trick! The walking foot was very easy to install on my machine (brother xr9550) and the silver guide bar helped me to make sure that my quilted lines were evenly distanced.Overall, if you're having problems with your fabric not feeding through at the same rate or bunching up I definitely recommend giving this a try!

I am quite new to sewing and as I build my skills am realizing the utility of different presser feet. Because I am still a budding sewist, I've only used a couple of feet so far. I noted that this walking foot is compatible with my Brother LB5000S sewing machine and decided to give it a try.A walking foot in general is meant to help with thick fabrics or multiple layers of fabric. Ideal for quilting or sewing with denim. I'm about to delve into my first jeans pattern so I thought this foot would be particularly helpful for that application. The foot attached easily to my machine with no issues. I sewed on a piece of scrap denim initially to get the feel of the walking foot and it helped the machine to press the fabric neatly so that I could achieve a crisp seam line. I think I'll be getting a lot of use out of this walking foot and am happy to have added it to my collection.

I'm pretty new to sewing - which is just a nice way of saying that I can't sew a straight line to save my life. I did some reading and discovered that a lot of quilters use these and recommend them, so for this price I figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. It really helps! I don't have the experience enough to say if it's a good or bad option in this product class, but it definitely works and it has helped me a lot. It does feel a little 'flappy' or loose, (like low quality?) and there was literally zero direction included about how it works, but I figured it out intuitively - so I guess anyone else could as well. Overall, for the price: it's definitely improved my builds.

I've recently gotten really into quilting and also wanted the ability to hem and alter clothing items that are made of slightly thicker materials, which my standard sewing machine setup can't handle. This walking foot allows me to sew thicker canvas, jeans, and thin suede, which has changed the sewing game for me! It connects to my machine really easily, and grips the fabric or material I'm sewing really well, allowing for great control and precision.

Nice low shank walking foot. I tried this on my Janome 6500. Fits well. Works well. I have a few walking foots and this one feels better than some. Doesn't feel cheaply made. Plastic that the housing is made of is a bit stronger than some. Metal on foot is smooth and doesn't catch on fingers or fabric. Needle position comes down pretty close to cross bar on foot. Could be different on other machines. Markings on foot are in red. Pretty easy to read. If you are going to use the guide, I would suggest loading it into the foot before you attach the walking foot to the machine. Goes in tightly. Easier to do with foot off the machine. This is a good entry level value for a walking foot.

This is a great solution for sewing layers of fabric, to keep them from feeding unevenly or sliding around and getting mis-aligned when sewing. It also solves the problem of when a regular presser foot can't glide well across rubbery or dense fabrics like leather. My daughter uses a Brother machine, and i got this for her to be able to quilt things and trying out new fabrics. It walks across the project like it should. Two notes. I did not remove a star from my review because the item i ordered is not faulty, but i just thought i would point this out in case you have questions if this is right for your needs.-This is not needed or designed for use with single-layer, thinner fabrics. The standard presser foot will be better for that. You can leave this foot on for most sewing, though, if you go back and forth between projects, quilting one day, and then regular sewing with cotton-weight or thicker on other days.-The picture in the listing that says, "Now i can quilt without fabric bunching!" is unhelpful and not relevant to this listing (at the time of this review). First, that lady in the picture is NOT quilting, and second, that machine is NOT a sewing machine; it is a serger, and this item for sale will not work for her. If you want to quilt, DON'T use a serger, and if you serge, this foot is not for your machine.
