Fits 82mm perfectly. The soft focus is cool and great for specific photography projects. It's not a lens you would use every day, but it is more of a special circumstance lens, and it works as intended.5 Stars

Similar to another popular filter. Gives soft glow to strong light sources. Pretty and dreamlike. 77mm is a great size for attaching to most of the lenses in my kit. Pretty awesome!

This is a great look to my 50mm f/1.4 lens, a quality filter that adds a little softness to the background and helps achieve a dreamy photo look.

There may be some difference. I haven't notice them. The one with it seems a bit softer, but it might be just the feeling.

Received the Walking Way 'Light Softness 0' filter in good time. Filter is very thin, made out of metal and glass. Screwed on nicely to the lens and was easy to install and remove. Feels high quality.Comes in a nice storage case that almost seems like overkill but it will indeed protect your filter while off-camera.The effect is very subtle. Matter of fact there is very little effect unless there's a bright object in the composition, streetlamp at nite, headlight, candlelight in dark room, etc. The only effect it has is on the very bright elements of your photo. At first, I didn't think the filter was doing anything, but once I trained my focus on a lamp in a dark room. I could see the difference with and without the filter. Without the filter everything was pretty much in focus and sharp, with the filter the lamp was soft where it was brightest and gave off a very subtle 'glow'.As mentioned earlier, I got the '0' softness, so I didn't expect it to be dramatic but there is indeed a difference (on brighter objects). If you need more softness, i'd recommend going with the '1' or '2' softness level. At the '0' level, you're not going to notice much of a difference in normal shooting circumstances. This may come in handy when shooting weddings and those types of situations. It will give you a subtle glow to all the white objects in your image. At the price and if you need such a device. Its a pretty sweet deal.

I have a few black mist and one white mist filters in other thread sizes. I wanted one to fit my 24-70 too and decided to try a more budget filter this time. I've spent a lot already. For the price I wasn't expecting the similar results, acceptable would have been fine, since I assumed it was plastic rather than glass which I was willing to compromise on.I was wrong on both counts. This is a very light weight filter, but it is glass and far more durable and easier to clean. It's also light enough to add a magnetic ring to adapt to my way higher-priced magnetic filter system. Big bonus! In practice, there is a difference in the soft-focus results compared to my costly "name" modifiers, but that's not unusual. They all differ from brand to brand, and this one is just as useful as any of the others. It's great for portrait work, softening blemishes and fine wrinkles, and delivers a nice soft glow around bright highlights, ie lamps, bulbs, and candles.Proof enough for me that there's little reason to spend big money on this type of filter when the Walking Way performs so well. I'll be giving the brand a chance with other lens filter wants.

I would like to preface this by saying that the build quality of this filter is good for the price. It fit perfectly over my lens and I was impressed with how nice it was in general. The only problem I had, and this may be a personal preference, but I can’t make out any noticeable difference with and without this filter. The “0” strength just didn’t give me the desired results. The same filter in “1” or “2” might work better for me.

Digital cameras do not need UV filters, and we use UV filters mainly for lens protection. So, why not use a filter that can protect the lens, but also will do something useful? This Walking Way soft focus filter fits the bill.Using it as a UV filter, I feel that my pictures look a little better, and for portraits in particular. Chiaro lists their UV filters in four transmission categories: 99%. 98%, 95%, and 90%. The transmission of this soft-focus filter is up to 90%, so it fits that UV filter range. For my LED light test, it has a pure white reflection, an indication of no or very little color shift. The price range of these light-soft 0 filters is about same I pay for my UV filter, so, they are good alternatives for many of my UV filters.
