Not very sturdy. They feel like plastic and that they will break with any significant weight over that of an average coat. I bought it for hanging tools in a shed, so I have to only use it for light items. Average item for a low price though.

We hung these outside our bathroom in the hall. Great for kids towels. They look nice and are sturdy enough for regular use. Would buy again.
