Easy to install and works great. Tire doesn't move at all. 5 stars!

I need to mount my trailer spare as it always seems to get in the way...or I have to move it to my truck bed. My plan is to put it low, so tire rests on the floor, though I've seen people mount them up higher on the wall. The carrier is solidly made and shouldn't have any problem holding my tire and I like that they give you your choice of 2 different sized lag bolts to hold the tire securely to the carrier. My only concern is that I don't think the included mounting screws are enough to carry the weight of the carrier and the tire while dealing with the bouncing and shaking that happens when towing (which is why I'm looking to mount them so part of the weight is carried on the floor). I have some self tapping metal screws and will make a point of screwing in the carrier to one of the metal studs that makes up the frame of the trailer.Just want to wait until weather gets a little milder before doing the installation, but will report on any issues that come up.

This is a nice stamping for the design of a tire carrier. It included two different lengths of carriage bolts that will go through your wheel to hold it into place. Two washers and a lock nut are provided to hold the carriage bolt in place. The carriage bolt "square end" is too proud to only use one washer when I assembled this.Hardware is provided to hold the carrier piece to you wall and such. These screws may or may not be what you want or need, but they are provided.Once the carrier is in position, one can change the carriage bolt to suit your needs for the depth/offset/orientation of one's wheel without removing the bracket from its mounted position. I think this is actually a nice feature that is a great value for this carrier over some others.

Got this to secure a spare tire in side of an enclosed trailer. I wanted one to attach to the tongue, however it was going to sit weird and be in the way, so I opted for the wall mount to place inside but out of the way. The design makes it relatively easy to get on and off as needed

The nut they provided did not fit the bolt that secures the bolt to the fixture. I had to get a new nut at the hardware store. The wing nut could be larger to better secure tire to the fixture it is barely larger than the lug nut hole.
