The good: My 4 year old said “Mom, I don’t like it, I love it”. My 6 year old said “give this one all of the stars”. They absolutely love the disappearing magic ink and think it’s so cool (it really works!). I was able to cook dinner uninterrupted because the books kept their attention for so long. I like that the books are small (they are smaller than I was expecting but are actually a great size for kids). They were easily able to trace the groves and stay within the lines. There are a TON of pen refills, they will probably last until I am a grandparent (ha!). Its spiral bound which is convenient. The height of the letters and numbers is a little larger than you’d normally write but not excessively large like some writing practice material. Also came with some cute rubber animal stickers.The bad: It’s obvious that the person who wrote the text isn’t a native English speaker, there are odd sentences. For a book that is supposed to help kids learn, I want the text to be correct. Also, the indentations on the front of the pages go through to the backside of the page. There are activities on the back of the pages so they are a little bumpy to do, however there is no tracing practicing on the backs of pages so the groves don’t interfere with the intended use (tracing letters and numbers).

This set of books is quite impressive. I had read the other reviews, and I agree with most of them. The indention of the numbers and writing exercises makes it so much easier for our granddaughter to practice & improve her skills. She is able to stay in the lines, and it's helping her to become more independent when writing freehand. The math practices are great too, some are a little advanced for her, she just turned 6, and had had a slow start, but she's improving. She's gained new skills in just the 2 weeks she's been using them.The disappearing ink is probably the most impressive feature. It is so nice that she's able to use & reuse the books already. She actually wants to practice her writing now. The fact the ink disappears is a novelty for her, but it's a money saver for me. The other thing is, we no longer have a mess from half used sheets of paper all over the house! Best benefit for this Grammy! 😊The pages, binding, and pens seem to be durable, another money saver, and best of all, she loves them! The pens are great, write smoothly, easy to hold, partly because of the correction tool included to teach her the proper way to hold the pen. That alone is a real plus. The little stickers included are being used as motivators, and she loves them. I would purchase these again, and probably will, as gifts for our other grandchildren who live away from us.The one small issue I have with them....is when her little brother decides he wants to write on other things. However, we have learned that the ink disappears from skin....thankfully!! (not really an issue, he just learned he isn't allowed to use her 'school' pens)!

This is such a cool set for kiddos learning to write. I love that there are a bunch of different books to choose from and keep the activity fun. But the fact that there are so many extra pens is amazing! I was so excited to learn that they erase after some time. That's so cool and we get so much use out of these.

I purchased these for my grandsons one is in kinder the other will be three, never too young to get them started. These practice books includes a soft comfortable pencil grip, 2 pens and refills. This set includes 5 exercise books which covers the alphabet, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and drawing. There's plenty of material to keep my kinder grandson engaged and a great tool for early learning for my youngest grandson. One of the great features of these books is that the magic ink used in these book disappears within 30 minutes, allowing my grandkids to use these often without wasting paper. I rate these 5 stars for the reasons listed above.
