This thing is pretty light duty. Don't get me wrong you can crank up the amps, but it's not gonna let you weld very long, MAYBE a minute before it shuts off to cool. The box weighs 10lbs or less.Just have reasonable expectations for what you're spending!

I connected the welder to a couple of different surfaces for the ground. One being the hinge bolt on my gate of which I was trying to weld. No current. I ordered a replacement, hopefully it will work.UPDATE: REPLACEMENT WELDER WORKSThis is my first time welding, you're supposed to drag the stick across the working area.

It’s a good welder but after operating a wire feed. It was hard to go back to stick. It’s definitely a good emergency welder and very compact and portable
