I tried this new kind of grippy wool socks in hopes they would last longer than one other brand I've tried. They may - only arrived yesterday, but thus far the main thing I'm noticing is that they have a tendency to slip down at the heel, and for the grippy portion not to stay under my whole foot. They are exactly the same length front to back as my other two brands of grippy socks, but unlike both of those, don't stay on reliably as I walk around my home in my socks.Perhaps they will improve once washed, but otherwise I don't expect to buy these again.[Update: Washing did shrink them about an inch in length, while leaving them stretchy, which had the desired effect of helping them stay on more reliably. Adding a star.]

I needed some new grippy socks for Pilates and decided to try these. However, I really can't recommend them to anyone and I'm just going to throw them away.After 2 washes they still have some sort of slightly sticky residue on the socks (mostly inside, but also outside in some places), and most importantly the inside looks like it will be shedding alpaca hair on your feet and any other surface you tread upon indefinitely. I didn't think alpaca wool was going to have so may hairs sticking out of it that it reminds me more of hobbits feet than it does a fabric.If you like 'hairy' socks, these might be your thing. But if not, avoid them.

I love these wonderful socks! I have cold feet, but I have never liked wearing slippers indoors-they always seem floppy to me. And Regular Socks get holes in them really quickly.Warrior Alpaca Socks are warm, and seem to last forever! They have non-skid treads on the bottom and a wonderful snug fit. Very, very cozy!

I purchased these socks to do yoga in. I only ran through one Asana flow and already could feel them slipping down my heels. These are supremely comfortable socks, though. Very warm, yet they did not make my feet sweat. I'm keeping them to wear around the house. The grips on the bottom are so grippy, they almost feel like they stick to my floor tiles--I definitely have no worries about slipping! I would definitely purchase again, just not for yoga. They stay on fabulously during regular wear, and even stayed on my feet overnight in my bed.

I bought these as over-socks for use around the house. They provide that extra bit of grip on our hardwood floors. Nice.I bought the Large size, and they just barely fit my 9.5 (U.S.) foot. Probably would not fit a 10... Be nice if they came in XL, XXL etc.

Purchased these soft, warm, wonderful footies for an outdoor adventure in sub zero weather. They are the best! I loved the idea of a warm footie to wear with ankle boots. My feet are always cold in the winter and these socks add warmth without a ton of bulk. The grippers in bottom make them perfect for Pilates class and walking on hard wood floors at home. I’m stocking up!

My dad wears a size 10, but these socks are too tight and hard for him to put on. I wish they had a larger size.
