This charger charges the battery slowly. That a is safely feature. This unit charges the Panasonic or Wasabi Panasonic P/N VW-VBT190, Wasabi P/N BTR-VBT190-JWP standard battery or the Panasonic P/N VW-VBT380 or Wasabi P/N BTR-VBT380-JWP the larger battery. Panasonic has their larger P/N battery listed as an option in the Panasonic HC-WXF991K 4K Ultra HD Camcorder manual.

I charged the new Wasabi VW-VBT 380 battery for 7 hours, and the red light is still on. I took the VW-VBT 380 battery out the charger an put into Panasonic HC-WXF991 and saw that battery was full. The green light on Wasabi power charger is never on, and it will overcharge the battery. It is not good at all.

Extremely slow charger. Only rated at 500mah! It would take an eternity to charge a VW-VBT 380 battery. The Panasonic genuine VW BC-10 is rated at 650mah. So, it's slower than that. Ebay has multiple third party chargers rated at 800mah. Planning to buy one of those.

This is a quality item that works well. Actually, I was surprised at the excellent quality of this item and the included accessories at such a low price point. It does the job ok. This is the 2nd Wasabi charger I've owned, and like the first one, it does what it is supposed to. My only recommendation would be to clarify how the charging light works. On some chargers, a red light signifies the battery is charged; on some the red light means still charging or in need of a charge. But one gets used to differences.

Got this kit for a cross country trip via motorcycle. Everything worked perfectly throughout the bumpy, shaky ride.Also used the kit for a vacation through China. Didn't know when we next had access to power to charge everything, but never ran out of juice.I do recommend the kits. Plenty of power for a good, long while.
