I have 2 pairs of wasabi batterie, so I figured a wasabi grip would be my best option. I was WRONG, after installing the grip and batteries the camera does nothing until I hold the menu button for about 5 seconds, it will then ask me if my grip is correctly installed, once you press the “set” button it will turn black. I then have to press the menu button again for about 10 seconds and then it will ask me if I know that the batteries are not canon batteries, (NOTE) - if you answer wrong you will have to re-attach everything and start the whole process over again 🤦🏼♂️ overall I give it 1 star because of the hassle to just get it to turn on takes about 2 mins, depending on what kind of photography you do, that could be the difference between getting or not getting the shot you want. I want to also add I PURCHASED this since I am using wasabi batteries and my logic was using a wasabi grip might help with showing the display of battery life IT DOES NOT SHOW BATTERY LIFE you are completely guessing, I went into menu and selected battery info and it does not makes connection. I will up load pictures and maybe a video to update this, if anyone one knows of a after market grip that works with battery like and all please message me I would really appreciate it and hope this helps anyone trying to buy after market grips that have had a great experience with wasabi batteries
