It is the exact product needed to replace our current venturi valve. However, when we installed it water SPRAYED EVERYWHERE. We ended up having to get the seal ring from our old venturi valve and placing it into this one. Now there is no water spraying. Unsure what happened as there really was no instructions with package.

Mine immediately leaked from the housing. I opened the top and the o-ring was missing inside. I had to take the oring from the old valve to use. The two smaller o-rings that came with it for the tank connection let water spray past. I swapped those with the rings from the old unit as well. Only then did it not leak anymore. Poor quality control. Not recommended at all.

This item arrived fairly quickly and was packaged well.The description states that this set up will work with my Kenmore water softener. I got everything ready and began the process. After installing I thought it was very easy. However, when activating the softener the venturi was leaking at the connections. I took it apart, greased the o rings, and tried again. Still leaking.Close inspection revealed that the O rings on the replacement venturi were smaller than the original and would not fill the void to prevent leaking. Luckily the O rings from the old venturi were still in good condition. I swapped them out and then all was OK. If the O rings would have been damaged in any way I would have needed to trudge to a hardware store to buy the right size.Other than the O ring problem the venturi works fine and the water softener functions normally.
