The pages are much too thin for painting. The pictures are decent and the paints are okay. I have another painting book of flowers from this creator and the images to paint are on watercolor paper. This bird book also doesn't have the Watercolor Basics page, nor the Mixing Colors informational pages that are in the flower book. I'm really disappointed because I was really looking forward to the bird painting book. If you have the choice, choose the flower book.

I love this watercolor workbook. It’s great whether you are a beginner or an intermediate painter. It gives the example of the final product and then the outline for you to do it yourself. The paper holds up nicely to the watercolors and doesn’t pill up. The various pictures are beautiful and I’m really enjoying going through them. Will definitely buy some of the other versions to continue growing my skills.
