I like the idea of this light and it fits my fishbowl perfectly. (I bought the larger one.) However, when I first turn on my light, it goes through a number of colors and fully illuminates the bowl but as the cycle continues, the different colors do not fully illuminate any longer... It becomes just a light more or less that seems to not change colors at all. I was disappointed that you could no longer see it all red then all blue and then all green etc. It still works as a great base with a light underneath vs. not having one over it.

Used this to light a fish bowl. Somehow the bowl doesn't set in the base properly so we are using it on top instead.

This works great under a fishbowl, to make a Madame Leota crystal ball :) I printed out a photo, cut it into a circle, added angel hair and it looks pretty good :)

With pebbles at the bottom of the fishbowl, the light becomes subtle enough to make for a nice night light in my kids room.

I actually purchased this to use as a vase light for Christmas which was amazing. I will now maybe try it with floral arrangements or even buy a little fish bowl the ideas are endless. The lights are just beautiful and bright then when you place a vase or bowl on it the entire contents illuminate its really amazing.
