Love the texture, nice size. Got them for my partner and he absolutely loves them! Grabbed a couple more colors to use as full game sets.

I chose gold because of the picture. It shows up a flat brown. There's nothing metallic about the color. IF I get another set it'll probably be red or orange but apparently pink and purple are popular. As it turned out, it was too expensive.

mine were a nice solid red, not dark pink like some other reviewers received. the quality is comparable to any standard chess set, with a felt bottom on a solid plastic piece. My set included 1 king, 2 queens, 2 bishops, 2 knights, 2 rooks, and 8 pawns. A few pieces had a tiny bit of paint scratched, but similar to what you'd see in pieces you play with often and keep in a bag.
