They fold in half, and fit in the provided velcro topped pouch. Just unfold, slide the clip down, and eat. The best part is, they're full sized utensils, not dinky plastic throw aways. Well thought out design, made sturdy too!

The folding feature seems cool but then you realize that the utensils will fold back while you are trying to eat. That is a pretty annoying that it doesn't lock open.

I've bought these several times.You just have to sand the ends at the hinge.Small price for getting away from the useless spork. These are awesome. I've bought several as gifts and I will be getting more. Simple go-to gift for 3day backpackers. They're awesome!

Junk, they do not lock open well at all making them very difficult to use. Buy something else.

They are adorable pieces and I was shocked at how small the utensils actually were when folded. They fit in a pouch that I measured about 3 inch x 4 inch when flattened. They are average size utensils unfolded. The handles feel a little short but that's the compromise. The knife and fork tines feel a little flimsy as well. The spoon is a little flat and the knife is small. The knife has that pre sharp, semi edge but I was able to sharpen mine nicely.I think overall, they are very nice and I'm glad I got them.

Awesome little silverware set. They're a bit heavy for backpacking, but it is a quality set. They feel sturdy and the knife is actually usable. The collapsible handles work really well but also stay in place when you went them to due to a nice sliding locking mechanism. I have no qualms about this set aside from the weight (which I knew of before ordering, not their fault). I wish they had a titanium option that might be a little lighter.
