I wish I could learn how to use the device more productively and effectively. There are a lot of options to choose from, but they seem complicated vs. the Edge 25 device.

Quite disappointed with this item. After working well for 6 months, it just died. I turned it on, the battery was down to 1% so I turned it off to find a charger. I plugged it in, and nothing. It won't power back on, which makes sense if that last 1% of battery was depleted, but it won't charge either. It's been plugged-in for several hours and nothing is happening.I'm clearly past the return window, so I'm stuck I do not recommend this product.

I thought i was upgrading from the 530 to the 540 solar, big mistake. This unit will not stay connected to my sensors, constantly dropping data and Garmin's customer service is a JOKE! I am kicking myself for not doing proper research on this model, this issue is all over Garmins forums and they don't seem to do anything about it. i have tried contacting them numerous times and they just hang up on me or end the chat. The solar charging is also a joke. With a 2 hour ride, the solar charge gave me and extra 2 minute of life, not worth the money i spent on the unit. Too late to return it, now stuck with an expensive paper weight, back to using my 530. buyer beware

Genuine garmin device. The battery pack is just a small power bank. Nothing specific to garmin.
