TlDR: This is a bed mounted tool box. The bottom is so flimsy (like paper thin), even after installing it rocks back and forth because the metal gives. I can't stress this enough, DO NOT BUY.Now I have a $800 piece of junk because I drilled holes to install. Lid will not close. Came in the box open. 100% do not buy, you will regret it. Will never buy weather guard junk again. My old autozone box was way better. And that's junk in it's own way. But at least it was solid on the bottom and rigid when installed. THE LID EVEN CLOSED! This thing moves like a piece of paper! Expected way better quality, first weather guard and absolut pile of feces.

Weather Guard box is weather sealed and has a great latch system. The lid has a fantastic latch system and lock, the lock is "keyed" to the supplied keys when inserted. This is a great feature if you have multiple boxes as they could all be "keyed" to one specific key.I know this box is expensive but the quality is worth every penny!

I was worried that shipping would damage the toolbox after reading several reviews. I got mine within a few days and it didn’t have a scratch or dent in it. Weather Guard boxes are in their own category when it comes to quality. I’ve had several other tool box brands and they just don’t last. Spend the extra and get a Weather Guard, it’s worth it.

Box came in hella banged up but w/e it’s a tool box thing wasn’t going to stay pretty for long anyway overall great looking box build pretty solid where in needs to be, big enough to fit a body in. Just wish there was at least one video out there on the internet showing how to install a box of this style I guess I’ll have to make the first one.

I received my replacement product from amazon and am now a satisfied customer. Im still a little sceptical about the hinge welds but overall it’s a nice box and it works wonderfully.Upon opening the package I was disappointed by this product. All five tac welds that are suppose to hold the top of the box on the hinge were completely broken off. Upon further inspection of the welds I noticed the poor craftsmanship in all the other welds on the box. Really shocked that that they would have only put 5 small welds to hold the top on a box like this; especially since it costs $600.

Purchased for my 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD 6.5 bed with a Snug Top fiberglass camper shell. The box is well made and the perfect size for the truck and shell combination. The lid has a push button opener and hydrolic struts that lift and hold the lid open for loading. I purchased a battery powered led tool box light for nighttime use. Lots of room to keep your valuable cargo out of sight and protected from theft. You loose some floor space in the bed so sleeping back there doesn't allow you enough room to stretch out but still good enough for me to be comfortable. Loading plywood sheets and 8 foot structal lumber pretty much unchanged. Some people block the boxes up to regain the floor space for loading material but I just drop the gate and use a ratchet strap to hold it down. Overall the nicest box I have owned. Love the black finish. I was somewhat disappointed the box was now made in China and considered a steel box instead but the aluminum is a heavy grade and the box is well made. I just feel better supporting American workers when I can.

Searched local stores and the web for a toolbox for my truck. I keep a variety of survey and light construction equipment in my truck and needed to get a better storage arrangement. My goal was to find a box that I could suspend off the bed of the truck (to allow 4x8 sheets below) but would not require hanging from the from the sides of the bed (due to existing rails that the former owner installed). Using 6x6 PT blocking space 45" apart, I was able to securely mount the box to the bed of my truck. Thus far it has been weather tight and seems very secure.
