NOT a noseband. Not adjustable. It's a tie-down but doesn't come with a tie-down strap even though there is a good ring on this and on the matching breast-collar. Yes, It's large. I have a big-headed Fresian cross and it fits him well, {if he needed a tie down} but I wanted an actual adjustable noseband for the matching headstall {which I love} and this isn't one. Also, the crown piece for this is not the same quality of leather as the rest of the set. Disappointing, as the rest of the set is awesome..

It was much too large for my Arabian. I purchased the headstall and love it and wanted to add this piece but it was HUGE!! If there is a smaller one, I would be interested but this one would have fit a a monster horse.
